						<![CDATA[ The 27th annual New Milford Rotary Club golf tournament will be held Oct. 1 at Fairview Farm Golf Course in Harwinton.

Proceeds will benefit organizations within the Greater New Milford community.

The event will feature an 18-hole scramble format for golf, with registration beginning at 9:30 a.m.

Cost including continental breakfast, lunch, hors d'oeuvres and dinner will be $165.

Prizes will include $5,000 for the first hole in one.

Deadline for player registration will be Sept. 24.

Sponsorships are available starting at $35.

						<![CDATA[ The Kent Volunteer Fire Department will host its sixth annual benefit scramble golf tournament Sept. 20 with a noon tee time at Bull's Bridge Golf Club in South Kent.

The top two teams will earn prizes, as well as the longest drive, closest to the line and closest to the pin.

Cost of $250 per golfer will include cart, lunch and refreshments, sit-down dinner and prizes.

Dinner tickets are available for $50.
