To the Editor:

Recently, President Obama has intensified his efforts to pass the health care legislation filled with what I feel to be numerous pro-abortion provisions.

I feel this bill asks for direct federal funding for abortions on demand in community health centers.

I believe it would provide tax credits for purchase of private health plans that cover elective abortions, and would authorize federal bureaucrats to order private health care plans to cover abortions, among other things.

I would hope you all oppose this legislation and not be cowed into believing these problems will assuredly be addressed at some unidentified later date.

Since each lawmaker must be held accountable for his or her vote on this bill as written, I ask you to call, e-mail or write your representative and our senators and express your position on H.R. 3590.

It is important our Congress know the culture of life is beholden to the fine character of American citizens.
