Family of Michael Deak thanks family and friends

To the Editor:

The family of Michael Deak would like to thank everyone for their kind expression of sympathy during this difficult time.

We are devastated at the loss of our only brother and son.

As you all know, Mike was a truly great guy who is going to be missed very much by everyone.

Not hearing his laugh or seeing the smile on his face when he was up to no good will take some time to get used to.

During this time of sorrow, we learn how much our friends and family really mean to us. Your thoughtfulness will always be remembered.

We have been overwhelmed by the enormous amount of love and support, not just from Mike's close friends but also to all at the Bridgewater Town Hall, the fire department and surrounding communities.

There are too many to list individually. You people have touched our hearts and we are grateful he had such wonderful people in his life.

Although there is a huge void in our lives now, hearing the many stories and adventures you've all had with Mike through the years has helped immensely easing the pain.

We can only hope he knew how much he was loved and respected by everyone.

Mike may be gone but he will never be forgotten. May the memories of his generous ways and sense of humor carry on.

A memorial service to celebrate Mike's life will be held April 10 at noon at the Bridgewater firehouse.
