To the Editor:
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the residents and visitors of the town of New Milford for purchasing lobsters from the New Milford Lions Club.
The proceeds from the lobster sale will be used to help pay for scholarships and the support of several non-profit organizations including but not limited to the Visiting Nurses Association and the United Way, in addition to helping underprivileged children by purchasing eye exams and eyeglasses.
Please come visit us at our pizza tent during the New Milford Village Fair Days and join us for a day of fun and old-time games during our Sept. 18 fall festival at Harrybrooke Park.
The New Milford Lions Club prides itself in taking an active interest in the civic, social and morale welfare of the community.
The Lions organized as a charter group on April 18, 1929. Since its inception, the members have dedicated themselves to service.
We have distinguished ourselves as citizens by donating time to the success of fundraisers and service projects.
For more information on becoming a member of the largest and most effective community organization, please contact Bob Coppola at 860-354-9954.
