Youth detained on intimidation charge

A juvenile offender was arrested Aug. 12 by New Milford police on an outstanding warrant and transferred to Bridgeport Juvenile Detention Center, police said.

The youth's name was not released. The warrant was from an incident that occurred between July 29 and Aug. 8, police said.

The youth is charged with third-degree assault, second-degree strangulation, disorderly conduct, witness intimidation: threatening and second-degree threatening.

The youth's arraignment was scheduled Aug. 12 at 10 a.m. at Bridgeport Juvenile Detention Center.
