Winifred A. (Constantini) DeSantis, 97, of Danbury, died June 7, 2010, at her home. She was the widow of Mariano (Nuch) DeSantis.

Mrs. DeSantis was born May 26, 1913, in Bridgeport, daughter of the late Constentino and Rafaella (Bragalia) Constantini.

Mrs. DeSantis is survived by three daughters, Marie A. Ridnert, and her husband, Nils, of New Milford, Jean M. Cerrone, and her husband, Carmine, of Danbury, and her caregiver with whom she made her home, Joan M. Hatstat, and her husband, Gary, of Danbury; two sisters, Wilma Cougle and Elsie Lyman; a brother, William Constantini; a sister-in-law, Sue DeSantis; six grandchildren, David Gore, Luanne Sorensen, Wendy Schulze, and her husband, Ron, John Cerrone, and his wife, Karen, Annmarie Maher, and her husband, Joseph, and Kristina Ridnert; 11 great- grandchildren, Marly Gore, David Gore, and his wife, Michelle, Greg Sorensen, and his wife, Jordan, Erika Sorensen, and her fiance, Chris, Rebecca Jeney, Danielle, and John Cerrone, Emily and Matthew Maher, and Olivia, and Mackenzie Schulze; five great-great-grandchildren, Katelyn and Taylor Calderone, Adriana Dalo and Abigail, and Riley Gore.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by her sisters, Florence Weiss, Evelyn Rinko, Olga Constantini and Virginia Ciotti, and a brother, Walter Constantini.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated today (Friday) at 11 a.m. at St. Gregory The Great Church in Danbury. Interment will follow in St. Peter Cemetery.
