William Edward Brunner, 51, of Charlotte, N.C., died Feb. 20, 2013. He was the husband of Beth (Garbee) Brunner.

He was born Feb. 25, 1961, at Eglin Air Force Base in Florida. He spent his childhood years in Danbury and New Milford.

Mr. Brunner graduated from New Milford High School in 1979, Florida State in 1983 and Commair Aviation Institute as a licensed pilot in 1994. He received a master's degree from Clemson University in 2012.

He relocated to Charlotte in 1989 and worked as a procurement and logistics specialist with Fluor Inc.

Mr. Brunner walked closely with the Lord and was an active member of his church.

He enjoyed aviation, photography and computers, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife of 23 years, Mr. Brunner is survived by two sons, Hunter and David Brunner; his parents, Ed and Cynthia Brunner; his sisters, Beth, Barbara and Mary; his in-laws, Hunter and Joyce Garbee; a sister-in-law, Cindy; a brother-in-law, David; one nephew and three nieces.
