Angela Rossbach, just finishg the school year as principal at Goshen Center School, was set July 1 to beging her tenure as principal at Warren School.

Rossbach replaces Anthony Hibbert, who has accepted a position as a principal in Oxford. Rossbach said she likes the multi-age concept to be used in Warren School.

When Hibbert announced his resignation, Rossbach asked Superintendent of Schools Ed Drapp to fill the Warren position. “Angela has a spark, a fire in her eye when talking about the possibilities of the multi-age program at Warren,” Drapp said. “She told me how she envisions Warren School becoming a model for the county. How could I not support her request with an attitude like that?”

Rossbach said when she attended an early June training session at Warren School with multi-age expert Sandra Stone, she was impressed with the “passion and devotion” the Warren staff have for the children at the school.

“I also saw the collaborative and supportive relationship between the parents and the teachers as they discussed multi-age learning,” Rossbach said. “I knew then and there that Warren is a very special place.”

Rossbach received her doctoral degree in educational leadership from the University of Connecticut in December.

Region 6 is planning a community-wide reception in August to welcome her to Warren.

The position of Goshen principal will be filled by Tracy Keilty.
