A town meeting is set Jan. 13 at 7 p.m. in Kent Town Hall on possible approval of an appropriation of $1,155,000 and a bond issue in that amount for temporary borrowing to fund the planning, property acquisition and construction of a Maple Street sewer line extension.

The meeting had been scheduled Jan. 6 but was postponed.

If the plan were to be approved by voters, Kent could apply for funding from the U.S. Department of Agriculture to cover the cost.

U.S.D.A. funding would come in the form of a $287,500 grant and an $862,500 loan at 3 percent for 40 years.
