The Massachusetts jury trial of New Milford resident Domenico Spano, charged with involuntary manslaughter in the accidental Uzi death of an 8-year-old boy, has been postponed from Wednesday.

A trial date for Spano and for Carl Guiffre, of Hartford, will be discussed Dec. 6, according to Hampden District Attorney William Bennett.

The trial of the third man charged, former Pelham, Mass., Police Chief Edward Fleury, is set for Dec. 6.

While all three men are charged with involuntary manslaughter, Fleury is also charged with four counts of furnishing a machine gun to a minor.

Fleury organized the event at which Christopher Bizlij, age 8, died. Spano and Guiffre brought the weapons to the show and ran the event. Christopher died Oct. 26, 2008, after he lost control of a Micro Uzi submachine gun he was firing at an event at the Westerfield Sportman's Club in Massachusetts. The gun recoiled, shooting him in the head.
