To the Editor:

Thank you to everyone who battled the heat and attended our first annual touch-a-truck and bake sale event.

The event, which benefits the Kent Community Nursery School, was a big success.

Kids, big and small, enjoyed a hands-on opportunity to explore a school bus, fire vehicle, excavator, backhoe and loader, quads and several large trucks.

Everyone got to take a chance and dig a prize from the grab and dig prize bucket.

Fresh-baked goods abounded and were gobbled up by hungry attendees.

Thank you to all who helped make this event possible, we couldn't have done it without the support.

Special thanks to KCNS parents and board members, Kent Volunteer Fire Department, Kent Chamber of Commerce, J.P. Gifford, Kent Pharmacy and DEW Construction.

Also, thanks to Setaro Motors, Arthur D. Deacon & Sons, Stonewalls by George, All-Star Transportation, Village Center for the Arts, the Tyler Family, the Shirt Bakery and High Performance Energy.

From all of us at Kent Community Nursery School, we thank you for your ongoing support.
