TheatreWorks New Milford will hold auditions for its production of “Peter and the Starcatcher” by Rick Elice Oct. 3-4 from 7 to 9:30 p.m. each day.

A cast of one woman ages 18 to 25 and 11 men ages 18 to 50 is sought.

“Peter and the Starcatcher” is a grownup's prequel to “Peter Pan.”

In this five-time Tony Award-winning play, 10 actors play more than 100 characters.

Actors do not have to be the ages listed but must be able to believably play within the ranges specified.

Auditions will consist of reading from the script. Character breakdowns and audition sides will be available at www.theatreworks.us/actors.

Note that a British or upper-class affectation is requested for the audition.

Those coming to audition should prepare 16 to 32 bars of a song that shows their range and acting ability. An accompanist will be provided.

Non-singing roles need not prepare a vocal audition.

This is a play with music, so strong vocal ability is not as important as acting skills and ability to play multiple roles where required.

Rehearsals will begin in early January, with performances set to run Feb. 17 through March 18.

The theater is located at 5 Brookside Ave., but parking is behind the Catherine E. Lillis Administration Building on East Street.
