Summer play group open to kindergartners

New Milford students who will enter kindergarten in the fall are invited to attend a new Kindergarten Kids' Club Playdays this summer.

The event was organized by parents and caregivers who want to ease the transition of starting all-day kindergarten.

The group will meet for an hour or two on Thursdays at 10 a.m. from July 12 through Aug. 23 at the playground next to Pettibone School along Pickett District Road.

Parents are invited to participate or watch.

Parent-volunteers are sought. Interested residents should include in an email message the child's name, the parent or caregiver's name, contact information and volunteer interests.
