Studio D's new touring dance company, D-Tour, is keeping busy.

The dance company in New Milford is hosting a Pies for Carnegie fundraiser through Nov. 22.

The company has teamed with American Pie Co. in Sherman to deliver made-from-scratch pies for Thanksgiving.

Funds raised from the event will help fund the dance company's Jan. 18 debut at Carnegie Hall in New York.

The company will perform at the eighth annual Performing Arts Educators Invitational, which will include performances by choral and dance groups in a non-competition format.

Under the direction of Rebecca Darling, Studio D's artistic director, the company comprises its upper-level modern dance students.

D-Tour's parents' night out fundraiser will be Dec. 6 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.

The event offers New Milford parents the opportunity to drop their children off at the dance studio for supervised and organized dance classes, crafts, snacks and an age-appropriate movie.

The cost is $15 or $30 maximum per family.

The dance company will perform in Studio D's winter show in February and during Studio D's 10th anniversary gala in May.
