St. John's to serve dinner

St. John's Episcopal Church in Washington will celebrate the Feast of St. John with a special dinner Feb. 11 at 6:30 p.m.

The dinner will feature a menu based on recipes from the church's cookbook.

Entertainment will be provided by Episcopalian comedian Mark McGougan, who offers a wry and slightly irreverent take on the idiosyncrasies of parish life and the peculiar liturgical traditions of the Church.

Tickets to the dinner at the event at the 78 Green Hill Road church are $50.

Proceeds will benefit the outreach committee's 2012 projects, including the development of an Emergency Response Center.
