Vocal protestors against government "doing too much" lined the street outside Canterbury School's Steele Hall Saturday in New Milford.

Inside, Congressman Chris Murphy (D-5th) welcomed colleague Earl Blumenauer and dozens of area and regional scions of environmental, business, transportation and civic causes for a four-hour symposium titled --Imagining Connecticut In 2050."

Panels discussed landscape, water management and transportation, and what jobs could be created in these sectors.

Congressman Blumenauer (D-3rd) from Oregon, chairman of the House of Representatives' Liveable Communities Task Force, was the featured speaker.
