The Sloane Stanley Museum in Kent will be open for Connecticut Open House Day June 14.

Patrons are invited to the 31 Kent-Cornwall Road (Route 7 North) museum from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Artisan Joe Buda will be on site with his lightning rod artwork.

Children will be able to create their own lightning rod or weathervane artwork to take home.

In addition, an exhibit, "The Artist Who Loved the Sky: Cloudscapes, Weather and the World of Eric Sloane," focusing on Eric Sloane, the painter of cloudscapes and author of several books on the sky, clouds and weather, is on view.
