The Silo Gallery at Hunt Hill Farm in New Milford will open an exhibit, "Barns and Farms," with a reception Aug. 2 from 5 to 7:30 p.m.

The show, which will run through Oct. 5, will feature art by some of the region's best-known artists, including the late Eric Sloane and Woldemar Neufeld.

In addition, works by the late Kate Neufeld, Woldemar's sister, and by Merryall resident Frank Tosto will be exhibited.

Guests of the reception will have a chance to meet Tosto, Laurence Neufeld, son and nephew of the Neufelds, and Art Kerber, of Millerton's Green River Gallery, who is offering the selection of Sloane paintings.

Artwork will be available to purchase, and Tosto will accept future commissions.

The show will be augmented by "Barn Again," a retired Smithsonian Institution Main Street exhibit, now in the hands of Hunt Hill Farm, in September.

The exhibit may be seen Wednesdays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays from noon to 5 p.m. at the Upland Road center.
