Sign up starts for Trunk or Treat

The New Milford Parks & Recreation Department will sponsor the annual Halloween Trunk or Treat event Oct. 31 on the Village Green.

The event is a safe alternative to trick-or-treating on dark streets.

Attendees will trick-or-treat from vehicles decorated for the holiday and parked

on the west side of

the Green from 5:30

to 7:30 p.m.

The west side of the street --from Bank of America to Tivoli Restaurant --will be closed to traffic for candy distribution, but the east side will remain open.

Residents who would like to decorate their vehicle and give out candy must register with Parks & Rec by calling 860-355-6060.
