Sheryl L. Darling Moynihan, 59, a longtime resident of New Milford, died May 30 at home.

She was born in Morristown, N.J., and graduated from East Syracuse-Minoa High School in 1972. While living in New Milford, she worked at the New Milford Medical Group.

She was known for her love of animals and crafts and for her generous nature.

She is survived by her daughters, Monica Millar, and her husband, Bruce, of Manlius, N.Y., Valerie Walsh, and her husband, Brian, of New Milford; her sisters, Bev Brennan and Donna Matson, both of Kent; her grandchildren, Bryce Millar, and Bailey and Collin Walsh; her mother, Marie Darling, of Kent, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father, John William Darling, and her brother, William John Darling.

A funeral mass will take place June 22 at 10 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Church, Route 109, in New Milford. A reception will follow.
