Salem Covenant Church in Washington will kick off a new Lenten sermons series, “Addictions: Out of the Pit, Into the Light,” Feb. 14 at 10:30 a.m.

The six-week series will cover the myths and facts of addictions, hope for people struggling with addictions, encouragement for the families and loved ones alongside of those suffering with addictions, and God’s place in it all.

In addition to the sermons, guest speakers will share from their own journey, and supplemental resources and materials will be available.

Also, Debra Califia will lead a two-part workshop, “Addiction and Its Impact on Individuals and Families: Finding Help, Hope and Healing,” will also be offered, beginning Feb. 28 from 12:15 to 1:30 p.m.

A lunch will be included.
