Gunn Memorial Library in Washington will present "Magical Realism: Visions of Modern Latin America in Short Fiction" beginning Sept. 18.

The six-week series will meet Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. from Sept. 18 through Oct. 23.

John Turner, professor of romance languages, emeritus, at Bowdoin College, will lead the program.

Works by Cortázar, Castellanos, García Márquez, Fuentes, Ferre and Allende will be discussed.

Copies will be supplied by the Library and available prior to the discussion.

The program is limited to 20 people.
