Seniors invited to Triad safety day

The third annual Triad Senior Safety Day will be held Aug. 22 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The event will take place at the Maxx on Railroad Street.
The program will feature two presentations.
Sergeant James Dzamko of the New Milford Police Department will provide a question and answer session on safeguarding medications and how to protect oneself from being a victim of a scam, and Laura Cleary of the New Milford Youth Agency and Allison Fulton, executive director of the Housatonic Valley Coalition Against Substance Abuse, will discuss how grandparents can identify the signs of substance abuse and best help our youth.
Lunch will be served.
Parking will be available at the senior center on Main Street, with shuttle bus service to the Maxx.
