Minor Memorial Library in Roxbury will present a program about and a screening of "Under Our Skin 2: Emergence," a film about Lyme disease, Thursday at 7 p.m.
Drs. Carolyn Graham and Alice Bell, of Graham and Bell, are naturopathic physicians who have been diagnosing and treating patients with Lyme disease for more than five years, will be on hand and answer questions following the movie at the South Street library.
The film is a follow-up to the documentary "Under Our Skin," which was published and shown in 2007.
Since then, the CDC has upped its estimate of annual cases by 10 times, making Lyme disease more prevalent than HIV and breast cancer combined.
"Under Our Skin 2" investigates the deepening Lyme disease crisis and follows its casualties and controversies.
