Scott Borger, 47, of Roxbury, died May 24 at home after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. He was the husband of Rosemary (Knauf) Borger for 13 years.

Mr. Borger was born March 5, 1965, in New Milford, the son of Robert and Meg Borger of Washington.

He graduated from Shepaug Valley High School in Washington in 1983 and was a mechanic for First Light and Power.

His passions were farm land preservation, landscaping, wildlife and the outdoors. He was an avid sports fan and loved the New York Yankees and Syracuse.

Mr. Borger was known for his strength, generosity and willingness to help others.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Borger is survived by a 12-year-old daughter, Cassidy; a sister, Pamela Dutcher; a brother-in-law, Darren; two nephews, Austin and Chancellor, of Washington; and uncles, aunts, cousins and many dear friends.
