Mark Mingachos has been named to the president's list for the fall semester at Southern New Hampshire University.
Samuel Pitser has been named to the fall semester dean's list at Southern New Hampshire University.
Caleigh White has been named to the fall semester dean's list at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, where she is a sophomore nursing major.
Melanie Talmadge, an occupational therapy major in the School of Health Sciences and Human Performance at Ithaca College, and Thomas Barkal, a performance/music education major in the School of Music, have been named to the fall semester dean's list.
Nicholas Noga has been named to the fall semester dean's list at The Citadel's South Carolina Corps of Cadets.
Julia Rosiello and Brittany Trnka have been named to the fall semester dean's list at Hofstra University in Hempstead, N.Y.
A freshman biology major, Lauren is a member of the college's Mentor Resource Lab (MRL), which uses various inquiry activities to teach science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) to underserved middle and high school students at Buffalo public school #198, an international preparatory school.
MRL undergraduates collaborate with Science Firsthand and the Buffalo school district to determine the educational needs of the underserved populations.
MRL members then meet with students once a week, during and after school, to engage in STEM-centered activities.
Activities include making edible butterfly cycles, building volcanoes, experimenting with solids, liquids and gases, and creating tornadoes.
Lauren plans to attend New York University for law school, and hopes to specialize in criminal law.
Amanda C. Braverman and Kerri A. Lipton were awarded a master of science degree in international marketing management and a master of public health in global health degree, respectively, from Boston University in January.
