Mrs. Moran was born in Bridgeport, and worked as a banquet waitress.
She enjoyed watching birds, especially hummingbirds and cardinals, and reading murder mysteries.
Mrs. Moran liked to sit on her front porch in her favorite chair with a nice breeze, but would grimace every time a fire truck left the fire station.
She always had a smile for anyone and everyone. Strangers may have come into her house, but they never left as strangers.
Mrs. Moran is survived by a daughter, Ruth Krajnak, and her husband, John, of New Preston; a son, Lyle P. Moran, and his wife, Leah, of Bridgeport; a brother, Robert "Bucky" Muthersbaugh; four grandchildren, Gale, Jennifer, Joshua and Fallon; five great-grandchildren, Gregory, Amanda, Benjamin, Brianna and Adam; a great-great-grandson, Owen; nieces and nephews Mary Ann, Michael, Jeffry, James, Raymond and Dick; a daughter-in-law, Kathy; many great-nieces and nephews; and loving friends. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a brother, James, a sister, Mary Bedford; grandson Tavish Moran; and two nephews, Lewis and Robert.
Interment was at Lawncroft Cemetery in Fairfield.
The Redgate-Hennessy Funeral Home in Trumbull was in charge of arrangements.
