Rosemary Nuremberg, 74, was active at church

Rosemary K. Nuremberg, 74, of New Milford, died Aug. 22 at Candlewood Valley Health & Rehabilitation Center in New Milford, surrounded by family and friends, after a 14-month battle with ovarian cancer. She was the wife of the late Hugh "Hugo" Nuremberg, who died in 2012.
She was born Oct. 28, 1938, in Jersey City, N.J., the daughter of the late William E. and Rose Farrell Halacy.
She married her husband, the love of her life, in 1959.
She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Church in New Milford, where she was a eucharistic minister, and was a member of the Confraternity of the Rosary. She was also a member of the New Milford Historical Society.
In her free time, she enjoyed knitting and spending time with her family.
A devoted wife and mother, she was a caregiver to many. She was frequently seen at local nursing homes visiting with residents and friends.
Rosemary is survived by two children, Christopher Hugh Nuremberg, of New Milford, and Nola Nuremberg Klaubert, of Georgia; a son-in-law, Brian Klaubert; a daughter in law, Priscilla Nuremberg; four grandchildren, Sean Christopher Nuremberg, 18, Gavin James Nuremberg, 13, Allison Lindsay Klaubert, 21, and Nicole Elizabeth Klaubert, 17; and her best friend, special family friend and neighbor, Lisa M. Best, of New Milford.
Burial was at St. Francis Cemetery in New Milford.
The Lillis Funeral Home in New Milford was in charge of arrangements.
