Ronald Williams Sr., 67, owned New Milford Gulf

Ronald J. Williams Sr., 67, of New Milford, died April 23, 2012, at New Milford Hospital. He was the husband of 46 years to Susie (Kuck) Williams of New Milford.

Mr. Williams was born Jan. 5, 1945, in New Milford, son of the late Margery and James Williams Sr. of Bridgewater.

Mr. Williams was an avid sportsman. He enjoyed playing on local softball teams for many years, and fondly recalled pitching a no-hitter.

He was the owner and operator of New Milford Gulf for 25 years.

Mr. Williams is survived by a son, Ronald Williams Jr., and his wife, Christine, of New Milford; a daughter, Susan (Williams) Swanson, and her husband, Jeffrey, of Canton, Mass.; five grandsons, Treavor, Tanner, William, James and Daniel; many nieces and nephews; two brothers, James Jr. and wife Cheryl Williams, of Kent, and Gary and wife Pat Williams, of Cape Coral, Fla.

The Hull Funeral Service of Danbury was in charge of arrangements.
