The American Cancer Society's Relay for Life of New Milford will take place June 15-16 at Sarah Noble Intermediate School on Sunny Valley Road.

Festivities will kick off at 2 p.m., but participants are welcome at 1 p.m., when entertainment will begin.

The schedule for activities is: music by national recording artist Carrie Ashton,1 p.m.; Relay kickoff, survivor lap and caregiver lap, 2 p.m.; music by the a capella group Martini Glass, 3 p.m.; belly dancing by Rakshanda Rya, with a special sword dance by Christine Rowland, 4 p.m.; a survivors dinner with music by Tom and Steve, 4 p.m.; music by J.R., 6 p.m.; Zumba with Phys-Ed Health and Performance, 7 p.m.; a luminaria ceremony with bagpiper Patrick Maguire and a slideshow by Eric Seigel, 9 p.m.; music by national recording artists Lucinda Rowe and Michael Connelly, 10 p.m.; and movies on a giant screen, midnight.

In addition, food will be available for purchase, and special laps will take place throughout the evening. Among them, a crazy hat lap, a poker lap and a bubble wrap lap.
