The Washington Registrars of Voters will hold a voter registration session Oct. 4 from 9 a.m. to noon.

The session will allow for new voter registration, as well as allow voters already registered to check their information and update it if needed.

The Kent Registrars of Voters will be open Oct. 4 from noon to 2 p.m.

The office will update and correct the official voter list; prepare the inactive voter list (voters who did not respond to the Confirmation of Voting Residence letter sent in May 2016 or whose Voter Confirmation letter was returned undeliverable); and to remove voters who did not return the Confirmation of Voting Residence letter sent in 2012.

Residents on any of the lists in error should contact the Registrar’s office on the second floor of Kent Town Hall on Kent Green Boulevard.

To register to vote, an individual must be a U.S. citizen, at least 18 years old (or will be by the day of the election) and a resident of Connecticut.

To register, a resident must fill out a voter registration form and show proof of identity and verify address.

Registration can be done: in person at any registrars of voters office in the state, or at any Connecticut Motor Vehicle Department, AAA office or Social Service Department, by mail or online at www.voterregistration.ct.gov.
