Registered nurse arrested on forging prescriptions charges

NEW MILFORD — A registered nurse from New Milford is facing forgery and fraud charges for reportedly forging prescriptions for narcotics.
Jamie Rose Libertini, 31, of West Meetinghouse Road, New Milford was arraigned Wednesday at Bantam Superior Court after being arrested by New Milford Police earlier that morning on a warrant. She was released by the court on a written promise to appear on Oct. 2 to enter a plea.
Libertini is charged with 12 counts of obtaining controlled drugs/forged prescriptions, 12 counts of health insurance fraud more than $10,000, possession of narcotics, three counts of third-degree identity theft; six counts of second-degree forgery, and sixth-degree larceny, according to the state Judicial website.
The charges stem from a June 2014 investigation.
