Public invited to library events

The New Milford Public Library will exhibit Prismacolor illustrations and wood carvings by resident Linda McMillan Jan. 17 through Feb. 28. The exhibit, which includes works of art like "Courtin'," above, may be seen during regular library hours at the Main Street library. For more information, call 860-355-1191.

New Milford Public Library on Main Street will offer a variety of programs in the coming weeks.

A screening of the movie "Back to the Future" for teens Jan. 18 at 7 p.m. (registration required).

A lecture about acupuncture, as part of the "Overall Health: Mind, Body, Spirit/New Milford Hospital's Integrative Health Program" series, Jan. 22 at 6 p.m. and a lecture about how to reduce anxiety and create joy through music and yoga, as part of the "Overall Health: Mind, Body, Spirit/New Milford Hospital's Integrative Health Program" series, Jan. 29 at 6 p.m.

The library's adult reading program is up and running through Feb. 28.

To enter the raffle to win prizes, patrons must keep a list of the titles read in a log.

Prizes include a Kindle Fire, a $100 gift certificate to the Bank Street Book Nook and a $50 gift certificate to the Bank Street Theater.
