The New Milford Youth Agency will offer a Parent University Nov. 3 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in town.

Parent University is a free parent-education event featuring workshops presented by local experts.

Four workshops on a wide variety of topics will be offered each hour at Sarah Noble Intermediate School on Sunny Valley Road.

Workshop topics will include how to manage 21st century parenting challenges, family health and nutrition, how to raise a good digital citizen, navigating the IEP process, how to build a child's strengths, how to deal with bullying issues, how to help children with depression or anxiety, how to deal with teen substance abuse and more.

"Parenting is unquestionably one of life's most important and demanding roles," said Laura Cleary, a counselor at the agency. "Parents are invited to come to Parent University to get information, new ideas, and inspiration."

Free child care and free lunch will be available for all registered parents.

Lunch will be offered throughout the day.
