The New Milford Historical Society will present a program, Cute as a Button, with Nettie McKenna May 18 from 2 to 4 p.m.

The program at the 6 Aspetuck Ave. museum will focus on the history of buttons and their use, the manufacture of buttons in New Milford and what they were made of and what kinds of buttons collectors seek.

In addition, there will be information on how to organize a button collection and how buttons are used in crafts and jewelry making.

Admission is free for museum members and $5 for non-members.
