Philip Anthony Sunseri, 75, of 16 Royal Road, Danbury, and 161 Porter Road, West Salem Township, Greenville, Pa., died Aug. 4 at 4:03 p.m. at UPMC in Greenville. He was surrounded by his family.

Mr. Sunseri was born June 20, 1937, in Greenville, the son of the late Philip and Angeline Daniello Sunseri.

He married Gayle Elizabeth Hornbeck on Nov. 5, 1966; she predeceased him Aug. 10, 2009.

Mr. Sunseri was a graduate of St. Michael High School and earned a master's degree from City College of New York.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict.

He worked for IBM for more than 25 years, retiring in 1992.

Mr. Sunseri was a member of St. Michael Church and St. Gregory the Great Church in Danbury. He was also a member of the Joseph J. Fitzmartin Council 1446 of the Knights of Columbus in Greenville.

He was known to have a wonderful sense of humor.

Mr. Sunseri is survived by a son, Mark Sunseri, of Danbury; two daughters, Michele Geier, and her husband, Chris, of New Milford; and Andrea Sunseri, of Middletown; four grandchildren, Justin Sunseri, Nicholas Sunseri, Quinn Geier and Carly Geier; two sisters, Josephine Sunseri-Fitch, and her husband, James, of Buffalo, N.Y.; and Theresa Sunseri, of Greenville. In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by a sister, Marie Giardina.

Memorials may be made to the St. Michael School Endowment Fund, 85 N. High St., Greenville PA 16125.
