The New Milford High School was transformed into the magical land of Oz when Studio D’s dancers recently performed their version of a classical tale.

Studio D owner and artistic director Rebecca Anderson Darling directed and choreographed the performance, with collaboration by Ginny Zellner, Gina Silva and Karen Laham.

“No Place Like Home,” an adaptation of “The Wizard of Oz,” featured Dorothy and friends as they follow the yellow brick road, battle the determined wicked witch and learn the importance of family and friends and the happiness that can be found within one’s own heart.

The cast included Elizabeth Hawley as Dorothy, Morgan Melendez as Scarecrow, Anna Silva as Tinman and Katie Lukens as Cowardly Lion. Other cast member included Juliana Zaharev ich as the Wicked Witch, Gabriela Esposito as Glinda, Alexa Esposito as the Wizard of Oz, as well as 150 more dancers ranging in age from 3 to 18. Danc ers performed all styles to relay the tale.
