Registration is underway for programs offered by the New Milford Parks & Recreation Department. A brochure is available at the office at 47 Bridge St. Hours are weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Green Wave baseball
Youths aged 10-12 are eligible for one-week sessions meeting either July 12-16 or Aug. 2-6 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Pickett District fields. Cost will be $150.
Youths aged 7-13 are eligible for sessions instructed by Jim Manweiler meeting from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Sarah Noble Intermediate School soccer fields at the cost of $100. Full equipment is required.
Youths aged 7-13 are eligible for sessions instructed by Jim Manweiler meeting July 26-30 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Sarah Noble Intermediate School. Cost will be $150.
Signup is underway for Monday and Wednesday evening lessons and an Aug. 2-6 camp for ages 8-15 to be held at the newly refurbished courts at Young's Field. Cost will be $100.
Lynn Deming Park
The town beach at Lynn Deming Park on Candlewood Lake is open for the season. Lifeguard hours are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. to Labor Day weekend. Vehicle passes for residents, available at the gate, are $40. Day passes are available only at the Parks & Recreation office at $5 per resident or $15 per non-resident.
Signup is still open for boat slips at Lynn Deming Park on Candlewood Lake for the 2010 season. Cost is $1,150 plus $40 for a vehicle pass.
King Tut exhibit
A Sept. 9 bus trip to the Discovery Times Square Exposition to see the King Tutankhamun exhibit will depart Patriot's Way at 9 a.m. and leave New York City at 5 p.m. Cost will be $50 for adults and $42 for children aged 11 and younger for transportation and ticket.
