Online signup is available at www.newmilfordrec.com by clicking on "Create New Account" to open an account and providing all contact information. Cell phone numbers with the carrier are needed for possible texts with last-minute program changes.

All members of a household may be included in the account. The household account will be ready when Step Two and credit card payments are available.

Dog waste: Dog owners who visit the Village Green or other town parks are reminded to pick up after their pets. Dog waste is unsightly and can spread disease. Owners should carry plastic bags to clean up after pets.

YOUTH

Summer camp

Registration is open for summer camp for youths in kindergarten to grade 8. Sessions will be offered weekdays from Monday, June 22 to July 31 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Hill and Plain, Northville and Schaghticoke schools. Activities will include arts and crafts, trips to Lynn Deming Park on Candlewood Lake, additional field trips, and plenty of other games. Early-bird cost will be $320 for a family’s first child, $265 for a second child and $195 for each additional child in a family, not to exceed $780. FAMILY

Lynn Deming Park

The town park on Candlewood Lake is open for the season. Residents/taxpayers may purchase a vehicle pass for $45 with proof of residency or paid tax bills from the town. Boat launch stickers are $115 for residents only. Stickers are required of every boat/jet ski, with proof of residency or paid tax bill. Day passes are $15 for residents and $20 for non-residents per person, per day. Day passes can only be purchased Mondays to Fridays from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the New Milford Parks & Recreation office at 47 Bridge Street. No day passes are sold at the gate and walk-ins are not admitted.

Swim lessons

Afternoon lessons will be given Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from Monday, June 22 to July 9 for those aged 3 years and older at Lynn Deming Park at the cost of $50. Another session will be offered July 13-17 at Lynn Deming and indoors at the New Milford Sports Club.

Yankees baseball

Signup is still open for a Sunday, June 21 Father’s Day coach bus trip to Yankee Stadium in The Bronx in New York City for a New York Yankees game vs. the Detroit Tigers. Departure will be at 10 a.m. from the Patriots Way parking lot. Cost will be $57 for ticket and transportation.

Macy’s Thanksgiving

Day parade

Tickets at $30 are available for a Nov. 26 coach bus trip to New York City for Macy’s traditional Thanksgiving Day parade. The bus will leave the Patriots Way parking lot at 6:30 a.m. and leaves the city right after the parade, about noon. Registration is open at www.newmilfordrec.com.
