Registration is under way for many programs offered by the New Milford Parks & Recreation Department.

Dog waste

Dog owners who visit the Village Green or other town parks are reminded to pick up after their pets. Dog waste is unsightly and can spread disease. Owners should carry plastic bags to clean up after pets.

FAMILY

Mets baseball game

Reservations are available for $65 for a May 11 bus trip to see the New York Mets play the Pittsburgh Pirates at Citi Field in Flushing, N.Y. Departure for the 1:10 p.m. game will be at 10:30 a.m. Cost includes transportation and a leftfield reserved seat section 138.

Bronx Zoo

An April 16 bus trip to the Bronx Zoo will depart from Patriots Way at 8:20 a.m. and leave the zoo at 3:30 p.m. Cost of $43 for seniors aged 65 and older, $45 for adults and $41 for children will include transportation and a full day at the zoo and entrance into zoo shuttle, Bug Carousel, Butterfly Garden, Children's Zoo and Congo Gorilla Forest.

Boat slips

Registration for the 2013 season at Lynn Deming Park will begin March 4 from 4 to 6 p.m. at New Milford Parks & Recreation at 47 Bridge Street. Cost of $1,200 also includes one vehicle pass. Applicants must be New Milford residents/taxpayers.

ADULT

Mohegan Sun trip

An April 19 coach bus trips for a multi-hour stay at the casino at Mohegan Sun in Uncasville will cost $25 for transportation. Participants will receive $15 food vouchers and $15 for Match Play. The bus will depart the Patriots Way parking lot at 8:30 a.m. and leave Mohegan Sun at 4 p.m.

Hip hop/Jazz!

Aspiring dancers learn the fundamentals with age-appropriate movement and music in classes meeting Wednesdays through Feb. 27, supervised by Lindsey Burk. Those aged 4-6 meet from 5:15 to 6:15 p.m. and those aged 7-9 meet from 4 to 5 p.m. at the New Milford Parks & Recreation office. Cost is $65.

Men's 30 & older basketball

A league is under way with Monday and Wednesday games from 6:30 to 10:15 through March at Sarah Noble School. For information, email Jason Maxwell at jamaxwell@hotmail.com.

YOUTH

Fall soccer

Signup is open for youths from age 4 to grade K-6 for Saturday sessions meeting from April 13 to June 8 (except May 25) at the Sarah Noble School fields. Cost will be $35 if a child played in the fall or $40 if needing a T-shirt.
