New Milford Garden Club at a glance

Projects: Members tend to the plants and gardens at the "all wars" and World War I monuments on the Village Green; the planter boxes on Church Street and on the Green; the mayor's garden outside town hall; the town hall garden on Church Street; Christmas decorations at the bandstand, all monuments on the Green, the Lincoln monument, the town hall lamps and the "New Milford" sign.

In addition, the club provides garden therapy at the Richmond Citizen Center, and health and rehabilitation centers in town; provides holiday decorations for hospitals, health and rehab centers and other charitable organizations; and miscellaneous projects.

Meetings: Meetings, open to the public, are held the second Tuesday of each month at 1 p.m. in the Taylor Room or the meeting room at the First Congregational Church on Main Street. Field trips and other special events are offered.

Dues: $30 the first year and $25 each year thereafter.
