The New Milford High School Class of 1965 celebrated the 50th anniversary of its graduation with a three-day, five-event reunion earlier this month.

The weekend kicked off with a golf outing at Candlewood Valley Country Club Friday morning, followed by a meet-and-greet event that evening at Tivoli Restaurant on the Village Green. On Saturday morning, a number of class members participated in a tour of three local schools — Main Street School (now the Paul S. Richmond Citizen Center), the Class of 1965’s high school (now Sarah Noble Intermediate School) and the current New Milford High School. That night, the 50th reunion class dinner was held at The Hopkins Inn on Lake Waramaug, and the festivities concluded on Sunday with a gathering and cookout at the New Milford home of 1965 graduates Eric and Mary Jane Bellion Lundgren.

About 60 people participated in one or more of the activities, including about 40 class members, their guests, two former NMHS teachers, Bob Asman and Bill Liedlich, and reunion photographer Norm Cummings '67.
