Prisoners of war and those missing in action from American military conflicts were on the minds of a dedicated gathering Sunday in New Milford.

The Prisoner of War/Missing In Action Connecticut Forget-Me-Nots organization, based in New Milford, conducted its annual bell-ringing ceremony in front of the St. Francis parish center on Elm Street.

The ceremony had been postponed from Saturday due to the snowstorm.

The occasion marked the 39th anniversary of the signing of the Paris Peace Agreement to close official hostilities in Vietnam.

Those on hand rang bells in tribute to those servicemen and women POW and MIA.
