The New Milford High School marching band and color guard will play host to its annual USBands home competition Saturdayfrom 5 to 7:30 p.m.

Festivities will be held on the main field at the Route 7 South school.

USBands serves as a competitive circuit for scholastic band programs nationwide and provides world-class performances.

More than 700 high schools will participate in USBands events this fall.

New Milford’s home competition will feature performances from the school’s award-winning marching band and color guard, as well as from schools from the surrounding area in Connecticut and New York.

The competition will be judged.

Refreshments will be available.

Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for students, seniors and faculty.
