MaryLou (Pacific) Nelson, 59, of Danbury, wife of Kenneth Nelson, died May 30, 2010, after a long and courageous battle with breast cancer.

Mrs. Nelson was born Oct. 5, 1950, in Danbury, daughter of Ruth C. (Goldsmith) Pacific and the late Michael Pacific.

She was employed as a medical secretary in both Danbury Hospital and private practice.

Mrs. Nelson was very involved in DAYO for many years.

In recent years she enjoyed her crafts and making bamboo arrangements.

In addition to her husband, Kenneth, she will be missed by a daughter, Kim Crisp, and her husband, Bruce, of South Windsor; a son, Ken Nelson, and his wife, Heather, of Danbury; and daughter, Melissa Nelson, of Danbury; four grandsons, Colin Nelson, Austin Crisp, and Logan Crisp, of South Windsor, and Caleb Nelson, of Danbury; two granddaughters, Kayla Nelson, of New Milford, and Riley Nelson, of Danbury.

She is also survived by seven brothers, Peter, and his wife, Jan, of Lebanon, Eugene, and his wife, Cheryl, of Bethel, Edward, of Danbury, Louis, of Danbury, Raymond, and his wife, Pat, of New Milford, Joseph, and his wife, Debbie, of Danbury, and Andrew, of Danbury; and five sisters, Victoria Breece, and her husband, Leon, of Danbury, Cindy Mosley, and her husband, George, of Virginia, Jennie Bracco, and her husband, Tony, of Danbury, Rose Coladarci, and her husband, Steve, of Danbury, and Tina Brown, and her husband, Antonio, of New Milford; a brother-in-law, Robert Nelson, and his wife Mary, of California; sister-in-law, Ingrid Goelz and her husband, Larry, of New Hampshire; and countless nieces, nephews, and friends in the Danbury area and beyond.

In addition to her father, Michael, she was predeceased by a brother, Michael, and a sister, Angelina.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated today (Friday) at 10:30 a.m. in St. Peter Church in Danbury.

Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery.

The Green Funeral Home of Danbury is in charge of arrangements.
