Mary Louise (Trentadue) Pascento, 90, of New Fairfield, died peacefully in her home Nov. 24, 2010, surrounded by family and friends.
Mrs. Pascento was born April 7, 1920, in the Bronx, N.Y., daughter of the late Francisco and Carmella (Grande) Trentadue.
She was educated in New York schools and attended Walton High School.
In 1945, she married Joseph Pascento Sr. They lived in the Bronx before moving to New Fairfield in 1986. They were happily married for 47 years before he passed away in 1992.
Mrs. Pascento's life was focused on her family. She was a devoted mother, avid reader, fastidious housekeeper and an excellent cook.
She was especially attentive and gentle to little children, and they all knew where she kept her endless stash of M&Ms, which she happily shared.
Mrs. Pascento is survived by two sons, Joseph Pascento Jr., and his wife, Rose Marie (Sudano), of New Fairfield, and Gregory Pascento, and his wife, Tina (Badolato), of New York City; two grandchildren, Joseph Pascento III, and his wife, Tammy (Potenziani), of New Milford, and Michael Pascento, and his wife, Betsy (Sarracco), of New Milford.
She is also survived by four great-great-grandchildren, Michael, Victoria, Maggie and Christina Pascento, all of New Milford.
Mrs. Pascento was predeceased by three sisters, Angela (Trentadue) Apostolico, Rose (Trentadue) Napolitano and Theresa (Trentadue) Cassione.
She is survived by many loving sister- and brothers-in-law; nieces and nephews; and great and great-great nieces and nephews.
The Green Funeral Home of Danbury was in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, Mary requested that you gather your family around your table, have a nice dinner and simply enjoy each other's company.
