Marty's Cafe in Washington Depot is presenting an art exhibit and auction for students of the Devereux Glenholme School.

Student-artists in grades five through postgraduate have produced an array of original works, including paintings and drawings, for the occasion.

In mid-March, Dave Behnke and Paul Doherty of the Behnke Doherty Gallery in town helped the student-artists of Glenholme prepare for the auction.

In two interactive seminars, Behnke and Doherty spoke with students and shared concepts of how to find and work with a gallery, the art market in the area and other regions, proper framing and pricing, the hanging of an art show, and closing a sale.

In between seminars, the gallery owners reviewed the selection of artwork by students.

Proceeds will benefit the Glenholme arts program.

The show may be seen at the 6 Green Hill Road cafe through April.
