NEW MILFORD — Work is moving ahead on a new facade at Lore’s Plaza, 131 Danbury Road in New Milford.
Much of the new cornice is in place and frame for the 38-foot long by 16-foot high gabled roof over the former Goodwill entrance is in place. A 12-foot by 12-foot, 16-foot tall clock tower will be installed in the north corner of the plaza.
The 34,268-square-foot, L-shaped plaza was built in 1984. Curtis B. Sites Architect has developed the design to update the plaza.
Lore’s Plaza is on the east side of the road (Route 7) opposite the southern intersection of Sunny Valley Road and Danbury Road. The plaza is owned by Bob Lowe and includes an 18,848-square-foot bowling alley in the back constructed in 2000.
