The long-awaited decision on Loaves & Fishes Hospitality House’s future should soon be in the offing.

The New Milford Zoning Commission closed its public hearing July 14 on Loaves & Fishes’ application to construct a new facility just off Bridge Street.

The commission has up to 65 days to render a decision.

The floor plan for the building was reduced to 3,826-square-feet from the original 4,024-square-foot plan.

The former Straub Plumbing building at the north end of the property would be demolished and replaced by parking spaces

The existing four-family residence along Bridge Streeet has been reduced to three-family by tearing out the kitchen in the previous studio apartment and making that area storage.

Loaves & Fishes would relocate its existing soup kitchen program to 25 Bridge St. from the longstanding home at the Richmond Citizen Center at 40 Main St.
