St. John's Episcopal Church in Washington will present a living nativity Christmas pageant Dec. 22 from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.

The cast will feature parishioners in the traditional roles of Mary, Joseph and the Wise Men, along with shepherds and angels of all ages. The manger tableau will include live goats, sheep and a pony.

The event will be staged on the rectory lawn, just opposite the town green on Route 47. The church's choir will lead caroling around the manger, and donuts and hot mulled cider will be served.
